There is not enough media on meningitis . I lost my first born to bacterial meningitis in 1987 and still effects me now .I was offered no councilling or support .

Don't be sad :) your baby doesn't want to see you crying or sad. you'll be okay.. you know your baby always be in your side

I agree there isn't.

We weren't told about the Meningitis Trust (Meningitis Now) by the hospital or given any aftercare, other than a letter 6 months after I came out of ICU asking if I needed help. It was so insulting I didn't even bother to write back to them as it would have wasted my energy.

We found out about Meningitis Trust from the local butcher!!! And then it was a little easier for everyone as they helped with counselling ..

I was only 17 at the time . my baby was only 11 weeks old and was a sudden death . and only found out after post mortem . he was in hospital 2 weeks before due to weight loss but said gastritis
