I am here on the forum for the next week talking all things relationships and sexual health.
My name is Amber and I spend my days teaching about relationships and sexual health in schools and youth clubs. I work for Brook a sexual health and wellbeing charity for under 25s. We have sexual health clinics, we run free condom schemes, teach relationships and sex education in schools, train professionals and work with families.
We operate all over England and have sexual health clinics where young people can access free and confidential sexual health services including:
Contraception
Emergency Contraception
Pregnancy testing
Condoms
STI testing
Abortion referrals
Health and wellbeing support
Being a young person can be tough. The reality is that societal stigma limits young people’s ability to take control of their sexual health, enjoy healthy relationships and explore their identities.
Relationships and sexual health can be difficult topics to talk about for lots of people, adults or young people. But it is so so important to discuss the topics and do it in a non judgemental, inclusive and supportive way.
I am really excited to join the forum and answer your questions about relationships, sex, bodies, online safety. How to address these topics with young people and practical tips!
