I thought it might be fun to share what our Christmases are like. It feels like there can be a lot of pressure for Christmas to look 'perfect' or to be doing a certain thing. I kinda feel like it's good to do Christmas in a way that works for you and your family. So whether it's funny memories, difficult times, or what you've got planned this year - I think there will be someone else on the forum who relates too
My brother has severe learning difficulties. When we were kids, he used to love all the Christmas music and upbeat songs but hated opening presents!!
Look forward to hearing yours. Fx

My brother used to get very excited when we were kids, to the point of getting quite distressed. He became very concerned with the idea of Father Christmas so we had to play that side of things down.
Even as an adult Christmas is a huge deal for my brother. He likes a very set pattern, where we do the same things every year. If we try to change anything at all then he hates it.
Good food, board games, and rubbish TV will be the order of the day for us. Keeping everything calm and relaxed.
I can understand being very concerned with the idea of Father Christmas! it's a totally unique concept to get your head around really isn't it!!
Good food, board games and rubbish TV sounds like a really good day. Keeping everything calm and relaxed sounds essential for keeping stress levels down, and I think a lot of other families will be aiming for this too.
