Which marker tests can I use for melanoma?

Hello friends, I am new in this community. I was diagnosed with melanoma a week ago and had a surgery yesterday. I have not chosen a melanoma oncologist yet. My husband has prostate cancer, so before I was interested in Advanced Prostate Cancer community, and they helped me a lot. Now I have my own cancer. I don't know anything yet about melanoma and I hope your community will help me.

The surgeon said my melanoma looks mild, she will now for sure in 2 weeks the after biopsy is done. I'd like to watch my cancer situation same as we do for my husband's prostate cancer. Please advice which marker tests could I use? I would like to know that before I see a Medical Oncologist.

Hi, just read your post and can relate. I had a melanoma removed at the end of July. I've got to go back on Wednesday for my follow up but have since received a copy of a letter that has been sent to my gp advising that it was a melanoma it situ meaning it hadn't spread beyond the epidermis. Keep me posted with how you get on. I'm not sure what will happen at my next appointment 🤔 future mole mapping or not ? Feel free to message any questions I wish you all the best x
