Hello, I am new in this group, but have been searching for answers for years about chronic fatigue.
Over a decade ago, I thought I'd found the answer as I was diagnosed with a B12 deficiency, which is now supplemented with regular injections. For a few years this helped, but the last few years again, it's been getting much worse, so I am now struggling to cope with daily family life.
CFS has been discussed and many many blood tests have been made, and I have seen neurologist/immunologist/gastroenterologist/endocrinologist consultants.
One constant peculiarity which all these consultants have said is very unusual is I have a very high ANA result which has increased over the past 6 years and now remains very high, at a dilution 1:5120.
The result can not be attributed to other specific autoimmune antibodies or a specific disease. Is there anybody else, out there who has a persistently high ANA result? And if so, has a doctor given any advice about it?
Thank you for any insights you can share 🙏🙂

hi I also have high ANA that recently went up after I had covid and then long covid. I think it is related and I also think I had CFS undiagnosed for years. I also have autoimmune thyroid but my ANA was stable for years until I got covid. My doctors don’t know why it went up and referred me to a rheumatologist but I haven’t yet been called for an appointment.
Hello, the ME Association have some information on Long Covid and CFS, which you might find helpful. They have a helpline as well - meassociation.org.uk/long-c...
I have high ANA and my consultant at one time (years ago) wanted it retesting to check accuracy. I saw the GP to request the retest and he called me manipulative. I have read that a high ANA on its own is meaningless, so GPs ignore it.
