I grew up in a household that had an absent father and a narcissistic mother and was never allowed to do any emotional processing. I only lived to not upset anyone. I’ve always had the need to people please and get self approval/acceptance from external sources. As a result I’ve been dealing with Depression, Anxiety and emotional processing issues for several decades. I’ve been on way too many medications and have been in therapy for several years. I’ve come to a point where I feel stuck in my current healing journey. I believe my body has stored up the years of trauma and I am in chronic unexplained pain all of the time. I feel as though I need to find a door to open/path to follow to see my life from a different perspective so I can continue my healing journey. I’d Iike to try the Ketamine/Psilocybin treatments.
I’m just passed all the requirements for my Healthcare provider to offer me Ketamine therapy. Though I want to be sure I have the right mindset going in and this is the area where I’m struggling. I’m all over the place and not sure what to focus on or how to choose from my many issues.
Anyone tried Ketamine Therapy and have worked though this?
