What a day had at the Great North Run. I found it well organised I got down early to the baggage bus dropped the bag off. Then I headed to the Green Wave zone. I hung around a while soaking up the atmosphere before entering the pens. While waiting in the pens the rain started and by the time I got to the start line we were soaked. So at 11.50 que on time when crossed the start. The support along the route on the bridges was awesome, locals standing in the pouring rain cheering us on. The music pumping every few miles and sweets been handed out which were most welcome. Then come the finish line with hundreds of people cheering us on. I crossed the line got the medal and bags and headed got the shuttle bus into town. The queue was moving quickly and I was soon on the bus heading into town. What an occasion to be part of.

GREAT NORTH RUN
Congratulations Macrun, It sounds like no one was spared from a deluge of rain at races this weekend! I love the idea of running from the City to the sea on the Great North Run and I can just imagine the support from lovely Geordie people.
Wear that medal and be proud.
Well done Macrun π
The atmosphere must be fantastic π₯³ Well done to you. Fab looking bling!
Awesome, sounds really great
Well done Macrun. GNR is about 4 simultaneous events wrapped up in a carnival with thousands cheering you on. Having managed the sheer scale of the GNR, other HMs will seem much more straightforward. You did it !!πΎπ
Congratulations! It sounds better organised than last year which is good to hear. We can't do much about the weather, but how fabulous that it didn't deter the supporters. There's nothing quite like a huge crowd roaring you home. Well done πππ
Fantastic Macrun ! Congratulations! ππββοΈπ
such a shame about the rain but luckily the supporters spurred you on and you did the rest ππββοΈπ π. Well done and congratulations π
Well done Macrun ! Sounds like a great time in spite of the rain.
