Hey up lovely VRBs. It's Friday here in sunny Switzerland and that can mean just one thing - it's time for us to grab our pompoms, clear our throats and get ready to send a massive wave of support to our fellow runners who are heading for the start line this weekend.
We have an awesome group, all going out this Sunday 14th July:
π Β Β Β First up we have the wonderful Β Β Cowladyrunning who is running the Mic Morris 10k . Billed as a fast race with a downhill course which ends in the beautiful Pontypool Park, this should be a good one! micmorristrust.co.uk/Torfae...
π Β Β Β Next, we have our speedy speedster Β Β RunBrianRun who, all being well. will be competing in the Southern Athletics League 100 and 200m in preparation for the big event at the end of the month
π And finally, once again, we have the dynamic duo Β Β TailChaser andΒ Β Β Katnap who 'being lazy' (TC's words, not mine) are taking on the Compton Verney 10k. Hopefully you get to skip the 'cheeky' hill that features at the end of the HM!
Have we missed anyone? If so, please let us know about your event below.
Have a blast out there everyone; we wish you all the very, very best. Fly like the hot air balloon that sailed overhead the other night! And please do let us know how you get on!!!
Happy weekend one and allπ
Your team; Β Β Β Β Β Irishprincess Β Β Beachcomber66 Β and me xxxxxxx
woo hoo all you amazing runners. My Pom poms are busy today ( and yesterday) waving for my favourite riders as I stand on the roadside for stages 12 and 13 of the Tour de France. I will take care not to wear them out so I have some support left for our runners. Cow lady I really fancy your downhill 10k, I hope it lives up to its promise, Kats enjoy your local 10k pootle (I hope the weather is perfect), and Brian what an inspiration you are! Good luck guys.
Thanks Shakes! Sounds like youβre having a great time! Yes, I think I prefer Cowladyβs run as well!! What is it with Tempo Events and making us suffer π€£
Ahh lovely races this weekend! Iβll be shaking my (TMI) snotty Bristolian pom poms for you while I donβt run at all until itβs cleared up. Got to love the grandchildren germs. π€§π
Get well soon and I'll give your pom poms a wide birth I think π I'm dodging school lurgy but usually hold out til last day of term then it often gets me π
I saw this post and went on to wave pom poms then realised I was mentioned!! I know I'm running Sunday but forgot I'd be mentioned π thank you and good luck speedy Brian and always busy and speedy kats!!
Well Cowladyrunning ; the fastest 10k on the planet!! 1 hour and three seconds last raceβ¦.this could be a new record π
I hope all is well for your two runs RunBrianRun ; Bastille day!! Need to be quick off the blocks (sorry!!).
As for TailChaser and Katnap , itβs about time they got themselves out for another run π. Looking at the maps, I think that the cheeky hill might featureβ¦π§ββοΈ
Whoop whooooop!! Big Pom poms here, waving them desperately for all those running and in the hope the momentum can get us up that hill! Yes, unfortunately, we still have that hill I believe. But weβll have run a lot less before we get to it and it wonβt be 30ΒΊC like it was the last time we tried to run up it π₯΅. Good luck everyone π
Thank you everyone I took a codeine last night and it seems to have done the trick and mostly released the spasm. Iβll be at the meet tomorrow and hopefully a tailwind will help me along as Iβve been bumped down to #2 in the UK. Canβt be having that π
