Last night Katnap and TailChaser dug out their bikes and joined Mr Shakes and me on The Mad Goose Chase to Purity Brewing Co. Riding the 10 miles from home (a bit further for the Kats) through beautiful (if a little lumpy) countryside to the Brewery to indulge in beer and delicious burgers before cycling back again. Tailchaser has not been out on her bike for a while and as she has little legs and smaller wheels than anyone else, she had to work harder, but we made sure she was not left behind. The ride back has some lovely decents (we rode up them on the way out) and a short up that has a Strava segment called ‘The Billersley Wall’ . It’s not too bad, but being a segment has to be ridden at maximum effort! The Kats were sensible and took it steady, catching us up all cool and comfortable while we were gasping over our handlebars. We saw balloons, a fox and the beautiful moon on the way home. A magical evening. Thanks Kats for sharing it with us.

Cross training, burgers and beer
That sounds just super! Well done everyone...'specially TailChaser ...little legs, maybe, but she can really move when running. Little pistons of energy xxx
Thank you for inviting us Shakes, it was a lovely evening. I’m a little saddle sore but it makes a change from all the usual running soreness! Fab beer, fab burgers and lovely company 😍
So the hard hat whilst drinking is in case you quaff enough to fall over? Very wise precaution.
Wonderful happy pic and event.🙂
That beer looks just the business! Well done everyone 👏👍
I love that you saw balloons, a fox and the moon. It sounds like the title of a book 😍
Ooh, that sounds a lot of fun - my kind of cross training 😍
what a wonderful way to spend a summer’s evening. Nice for you to do something where you can be in the lead too. 😂 🍻🍻🚴♀️🚴🚴♀️🚴🏻♂️
Of course we will ride out again! Looking forward to it Shake-and-run 🐱👍
