London Winter Run 10k❄️🏃‍♀️

I know there will be a few reports on this one, so I’ll keep it short!

This run has been on my wish list for a while and I have entered it 3 times previously and not been able to run due to illness, cancellation due to high winds and cancelled due to pandemic (well, I ran it virtually then, so do have that medal!)

Great to run it for real today 🙌 and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the course around central London. Lots of high-fiving huskies, penguins and polar bears! I thought the whole event was well organised with plenty of toilets dotted around and despite the huge number of runners, the bag drop worked efficiently, when we went to drop anyway.

I was slightly confused by the start as despite giving us times, and there was a call-out for waves -everyone just sort of turned up and headed to the start when they were ready I think, but this seemed to work okay!

Official time: 1:06:48 - pleased with that!🙂

Well done for finally getting there Sandraj39 . I’ve only heard good reports about this one and would certainly like to enter one day, especially as London vitality has moved to September. I love the bling and the thought of penguins and polar bears cheering you on. ⛄️🐧❄️☃️

Well run Sandraj39 that sounds like you had fun. I was there too and I’d echo your comments. Lots of high-5s to various penguins, huskies etc. It’s a shame it rained, but at least that didn’t start until the journey home! ☔️😊

Ahh at last!!! I missed that windy one too but haven't entered again. Tempting though, hearing that it is so well organised. LLHM was the same in regards to waves and starting.So that's two great 10ks for you in a very short space of time - I'd say you are very definitely back! Congratulations on another great run
