Got home not long ago from a great day in London. I did this run last year with a bit of a chest infection. Thankfully this year I was fine.
We (well Mr Mudita) had to drive to the outskirts of London and we got the Tube in as our local trains were not running until later in the morning. Just about arrived in time and after the usual queueing for the loos I made my way to the start while Mr M made his way to his favourite cafe in Soho π€£. A few spots of rain but nothing much and then we were off!
The crowds were great as were all the choirs, entertainers, penguins and huskies. I was faster in the second half of the run - it takes a while for the old leg muscles to warm up. When I do road runs like this on closed roads, and I approach traffic lights which are red, for a split second my brain tells me to stop π€¦πΌββοΈπ€£ but I fought the urge and made it to the end in 59:45, my first time under an hour (just!).
Absolutely love the bling! Highly recommend this run.

It's brilliant when everything comes together! I am so impressed. Not sure if I will ever make the 1hr - think running mire than one race a year might help !!

Thank you Al, yes I was very pleased to get sub 60 minutes for the first time. It definitely helps having a great atmosphere and crowds of people cheering everyone on π
I was waiting with bated breath for your time and so pleased you did sub 60 minutes, I am so proud of you, you've improved impressively and it's been a joy to watch xx
