Hello all you lovely VRBs. That's it, another week has passed and it's Friday once again!
This weekend we have two awesome runners heading for the start line; one on Saturday and one on Sunday. They could use our support, so please, let's get assembled and ready to offer some serious cheer, some fabulous pompom waving and some awesome support!
πThen on Sunday we have Β misswobble who will be running the Cleethorpes Maravan ;no stranger to this event (which is run around a large caravan park), Miss W already knows it will be windy. It's also forecast to be wet and by Sunday, the already wet ground will be well churned up by the Saturday marathon runners! Still, at least it's not far home to a bath and a change of clothes. Just stay upright and you'll be fine MissWπ
Bon Courage everyone . May the wind be at your back, the sun on your face and the ground below you firm. Enjoy!!! π₯³
Is there anyone else with a race this coming week? If youβd like a pompom cheer and a little extra support, then let us have the details in the comments below.
Have a great weekend everyone π₯°

π½ If you have an event in December and would like a pompom cheer from your VRBs on the Friday beforehand similar to this one then head here to give us the details:
π Run a new distance? 10 miles, Half Marathon, Metric Marathon (26.2K), Marathon, Ultra (50K and beyond). You can claim a shiny new badge by going here:
how did you find a photo of pom poms in a caravan Linda? π
Very best of luck to Β Β Β misswobble for running a marathon around a caravan park. I donβt even like running on firm grass on a parkrun, let alone a marathon on sodden and churned up grass. You are amazing!
Have fun on your 10k Β Β Β Reggit and good luck on getting a sub 1 hour.
Good luck to you Reggit for your sub 60 minutes 10K and all the best misswobble on running a marathon on sodden churned grass around a caravan park, that will be very tiring for you.
Aaaah good luck Reggit for your sub 1hr 10k you can do it! πββοΈπͺAnd be thinking of you misswobble on your annual maravan! I just showed Kenny and he said that would be his ideal race as he loves laps!
Head down and keep on going!!! ππββοΈππͺ
Have great runs Reggit and misswobble . I never did crack the 10k in less than an hour; hope you make it Reggit.
misswobble, beware of super soakers, although I think the predicted cold weather might keep any self respecting ninja at home! Enjoy your traditional post run nosh-up.
Same as me Beachcomber66, I have run 44/10Ks but never sub 60 minutes, what I found wasn't fair was at the only 10K race I ran, although I enjoyed the run the photographer never took any photos of runner's running over 60 minutes, once the 60 minute pacer passed he stopped taking photos of the rest of the runners.
I think that we have to blame the organisers Al; likely they were only prepared to pay for an hour for some unfathomable reason. Either that or photographerβs battery ran out(or at least the one in his camera did!). Whatever, it clearly took the shine off the event for you which is really disappointing. Their loss π
Could be, BC66, at some parkruns I attend I notice that the photographer only takes photos of the sub 30 minutes runners, however, one time he did extend his time to 32 minutes when I ran in a time of 31:58, I was the last runner he took a photo of.
Ta ππ. I think it will be straight to the chippy from the course as the hotel lifts are broken down βΊοΈ π. If Iβm malodorous I can blame the haddock π
My top fan is not going to be there at the finish. His bro will be there to run a bit of the last leg with me. If I get that far that is π«£ππ«π¦π¨
I'm doing (well, attempting) an unofficial 10km (ie. just me and my Garmin!) on Sunday - not quite sure if the legs are ready, but the visual of the pom poms in the caravan may just be the positive thinking I need to do it!
Have fun! Pom poms will be waving in Derbyshire! It really doesn't seem a year since you completed this last misswobble Shaking my head at your inspiring running ππββοΈππ»ββοΈ
Good luck you intrepid duo! Reggit , go smash that sub 1 hour 10k and tell us all about it because itβs something itβs unlikely Iβll ever achieve! And misswobble , youβre a superstar. Simple as that. I canβt even fathom what youβre about to do - but youβll do it! ππππ
All the very best to you Reggit and misswobble - judging by the temperature I suspect youβll both be wearing gloves (following on from a comment Iβve just read from misswobble!)! Wildly shaking Pom poms for you both (& to keep warm!!) π₯³π₯³π₯³
