I don't know anything about that race dory950 , but if you'd like a pompom cheer please reply to the October pompoms thread here to tell us the event details: healthunlocked.com/marathon...
been trying to find out myself as it's part of the chester tripple medal, you get an exclusive medal if you run the chester 10k, half marathon and either the metric or full marathon . you get medals for each individual races but an extra special one to celebrate the tripple... someone did mention that apart from going through and back into chester city centre that a lot of the course goes out onto almost country roads/lanes and the support out there understandably wasn't great ... within the city it was ... there is also a specific cut off time of 4 hrs at which point you could get asked to finish
all the details including route are below

Thank you 😊 hopefully it will be good. Hoping for about 3 hours but the weather looks a bit warm for me ! It’s all about getting round and enjoying it 🎉
I’m pretty sure that linda9389 has done this one. If she has, she’ll be along to tell you all about it!
I did it last year dory, and loved it! It was super well organised and very friendly. The full marathoners go off first and then it all quietens down with no queues for the loo!!! The long sleeved t-shirt was great and has been worn a lot (unlike many other race t's). There were some inclines - it's not entirely flat, but I don't think anyone could count them as hills. Supposrt at the start and end was awesome and there were pacers in the pack doing a great job of encouraging everyone. Personally I like some quiet time during a race, and I also like that it was a smaller field than say the Great run events. I'll see if I can find a link to my strava route and my race report on here. I hope you have an awesome time!
Hmm. Well maybe I didn't do a race report, oops. But the strava activity is here (not sure if privacy settings will let you see it though, so have done a screenshot of the route and elevation profile for you just in case) strava.com/activities/78997...
