Yep it's Friday again and we have a few folk this week, temporarily putting down their chocolate to get out and hit the start line! Β π
First up, on Easter Sunday we have Shake-and-run who will be running the Chasewater Easter Egg 10K; promising views of the lake and undulating paths and trails with seasonal goodies (sounds delish!) and the chance for fancy dress. Will you be in costume Shakes ? If so, photos are of course mandatory π
Next, on Easter Monday it's my turn, I've entered the Beaconsfield 5 mile Trail Run again;near enough to go to the loo at home before a trot around the local private estate - what's not to love (apart from the forecast rain and likely mud perhaps)?
Then last, but of course not least, we have a midweek entry on Wednesday 12 April for Dendev75 who is running the Chester Spring 5 2023 (5 miles); hopefully this will be fourth time lucky for Dendev75. A run along gently undulating country lanes in lovely countryside, this sounds delightful.
That's everyone we have a note of, but if weβve missed anyone then please do let us know.
Good luck to all our amazing runners this Easter. Bon Courage to our racers, make sure you have fun (and maybe don't overdo the chocolate Β π«)π°π£π₯

Choc(k)s away Dendev75 , linda9389 and Shake-and-run , the paschal pompoms are waving to wish you all a flying start, comfortable cruising speed and smooth landing!
Sunny Easter pompoms being shaken here for you all! Hope the forecast remains decent for you and you all end up with chunky bling and a mahoosive sense of achievement! β€οΈ
I have some ears for Tailwalking at Parkrun tomorrow that I will wear at the start of my Easter Sunday run. I donβt think they will stay on very long as they are not very secure.
Thank you for your good wishes everyone, and yes Dexy5 I still have the cough. Just going to take it steady and enjoy the views!!
I did my first-ever metric marathon - actually the Spring 2021 HUHM, only I added some on - wearing bright yellow bunny ears Shake-and-run . They do take some adjusting to keep them on!
They're π° actually on my desk linda9389 . Because where else would I keep them? π€£
After that MM was the roughest I've ever felt post-run. Didn't hydrate or fuel properly. Yet as I arrived home, feeling sick and unsteady on my feet, there was already a demon whispering that a marathon was only 16km more!
I love that ... and we all know the demon had his way with you π. It's a funny thing looking back isn't it. We forget how far we come sometimes. Bunny ears are clearly a good memory jogger π₯°
My marathon training plan has a 10 mile run for tomorrow but I saw a 10k event not too far away from me and will be doing that instead. I also have my local half marathon on Monday. They seem a bit much but are incorporated into the training plan and once they are over it will be one last long run the following weekend and then tapering.
Itβs fantastic pom pom weather! Chocolate duly put down, and the absolute best of luck to Shake-and-run Dendev75 and of course, your good self linda9389 may you all have an EGGCELLENT time! π£ ππ£ππ« ππ£
Waving Easter pompoms poms for you all. Good luck all. Shake-and-run you may see some members of my club Sneyd Striders, as several of our members are running.
Good luck to you all, think of the chocolate you can eat when you've finished. I always tell myself that I've ran off the calories so it doesn't count!! πββοΈπββοΈππ«π«
