Just wanted to share this with you all. When I started training I didn’t realise in October that I’d manage this but I have 💖

Brilliant and well done. That looks like a lovely medal.

What an inspiration. I read some of your posts.

I'm sure I will think of you often over the next year as I start my training for the London marathon 2023.

Decided to take an extended break. Watched a podcast which explained that it’s totally ok to take more time out when you need that rest. I’ve been looking at different events.

My first challenge is 150 km or 93 miles in 28 days from 1st December. It’s quite poignant that it’s 93 as this was the amount of years my stepmum was when she passed away last year.

She had vascular dementia and is one reason why I raise money for the BHF. My main goal next year is the Great North Run. Will probably take me around 4 hours. 💖

I think that's one thing I really need to factor in more than I do. A HM realistically takes me 3:12 to 3:30 and that is a lot of hours training so the marathon will take me more, so rest days will be even more important as will fueling.

Sorry for your loss, 93 miles in 28 days sounds like a great challenge, good luck with that.

Congratulations-fantastic medal!

How do you get back into "normal life" after such a massive achievement and the huge amount if time which you put into attaining the goal?-and what's your next adventure?

Taking an extended break but have been looking at different events. My first challenge is a 150 km (93 miles) Great Run Solo from the 1st December. Can do this over 28 days.

My goal next year is a virtual Great North Run 💖
