5K run that felt like a Marathon

So I decided to do a short sharp shock run this morning and went out with the intention of completing 5K.

I had run a slow 9K run with my sister the day before so thought I should keep this run short and hopefully quick.

But I had obviously not prepared my body properly as the run felt long and hard and not quite the quick little 5K I had in my mind.

Just goes to show it doesn't matter how long you have been running every run can be a hard run be it short or long.

But I did complete the 5K and will be out again tomorrow with my sister with our joint intention of loosing the Easter weight gain.

Happy running everyone

You get days like that don’t you😂. Hope you feel better now and ready for your run tomorrow. Slow and steady better for fat loss

Run was good this morning with my sister but we do run quite slowly. Thanks for your encouragement

Slowly is good! No need for a 'but' 😊

Some runs start terribly but I always hang in there hoping things improve. They always do 😀💪👍🏃‍♀️

I was/am slow to warm up get into any kind of rhythm. I don’t worry about it now though as I’ve got used to it. If I was doing a Parkrun etc I’d have to do some walking and jogging about beforehand. Probably why I rarely do ☺️
