Just relaxing in the garden after a lovely morning running Severn Bridge 10k . I know that cheekychipmunks said it would be a lovely race but running is believing! It was amazing- scenic, brilliantly organised, friendly, lovely atmosphere, beautiful weather and even a cool breeze at the top of the climb on the Bridge in the return leg!
It was an early start for us to make sure we got across the bridge before slip road closure at 7am but so worth it. My first proper "live" 10k ! Time was 1:02:18 which I was really happy with - so much better than my recent training runs indicated. (I ran the Healthunlock virtual10k faster last year but -did avoid hills in my self selected route so happy to get anywhere near it in a real race!)
Sooo happy sat here reliving the moment!
Congratulations to all who ran today!

Thank you. It was a lovely morning and topped off with a drive out to Tintern to the coffeeshop run by a cyclist who makes the BEST coffee ever! Perfect day!
Well I am a cyclist on a Sunday morning but I don't make coffee, I am so happy to know that you enjoyed your well deserved coffee after your run, certainly a perfect day for you. 😊
I don't know - it would be a very welcome addition to the diary! But realise that it is very time consuming for those who have the skills to organise such an event.
Great race report. It sounds like you had a fantastic time. I was planning on doing this one but circumstances conspired against me. Next year. Maybe even see you there?!
yep, booked my next one in Oct!! Im both excited and nervous, but the feeling I had after I finished my one a few weeks one was just brilliant. I wore my medal all night! 🤣
