Haven't posted for a while but the Garmin Coach Jeff programme has been going well except that for various reasons I missed the last two long runs. They should have been 14k and 16k. So I decided to cancel today's Drill Run (still haven't worked out what 'gliding' means) and put in a 16k long run instead.
Kept it really slow especially at the start - not much problem keeping it slow at the end! - and managed to end up doing 16.99k according to my watch. Never in a million years did I think when I started C25K in January 2019 that I would ever be able to run that far and for so long.
Did the Woolacombe Downs parkrun on Saturday which is notorious as the hardest in the the country with various adult children and grandchildren. So annoying when the nine year old I was running with, having moaned all the way round, shot off like a rocket in the final 100 metres! Still, hopefully it was good practice at walking up hills when I do the HM in June!
