Pancakes and coffee run

Really nice run in the sun today with the run ninjas group (just found out their name:)) We ran across North Toronto for pancakes and coffee! And Maple Syrup. Soo good! We did about 16k or so. Some ppl did a shorter route too. And some marathoners ran another 16k back again! I took the subway home 🙂. Almost got lost a couple of times on the way there. Fortunately I ran with a couple of younger people with better eyes than me to read the map. Was a cold day at around -9 windchill and I did not bring a windbreaker for later on which I very much regretted. Also tasted Sap for the first time. Very tasty.

A wonderful reward after a great run! Glad you found your way... better keep running with those young whippersnappers 😆. Who knows where you might've ended up without them. Definitely would not have dreamed you would be running 16k to have pancakes before you met up with this group, did you?

Seriously! We got lost in the middle of some industrial parkland. I’d probably still be wandering around if I was alone. With no reading glasses the map was a total blur:). No this was not on my radar at all last year!

Too cool (the run, not getting lost). Next year you'll be part of the crazy group running there AND back 😆

They also have an outdoor pizza oven they run in the summer months so I think we may be heading back sooner

30 min from our house for 10 years and I find out about it now through running. So weird!

yep it was, except for the lack of a jacket in a cold outdoor event - I had a change of clothes but no jacket - next time I plan my pack better!

Sounds like so much fun, and the photos are fabulous. Running for pancakes and coffee sounds like my perfect morning.

A bit chilly though! Take your windcheater next time (and maybe your reading glasses in the pocket!)

Thanks Helene, haha yes I have 3 pairs of reading/working glasses and brought none of them!
