A round the park tourist shuffle 😊☀️🌼

Well here I am in pretty Lille, the weather is nice, and there’s lots of culture to be had! This morning I donned my trainers and made my way to the park/citadelle for a tourist run. It’s incredibly popular with runners as it’s the main park really, so I saw lots of other folk out and about. I’m used to quiet country roads so not really used to dodging people walking to work and children going to school in a busy area, but it was just plain old interesting having a good people nose as I went past everyone! It’s a nice flat route which was great because having done a ton of walking while here, I just wanted something not too strenuous. I tried to get a nice star shape on the map but didn’t quite manage it as you can see.

It’s so nice to be able to pack your kit and get a different perspective on new places. I feel very lucky. Have a smashing day all! 😊😊😊

Ah thank you IP! It’s all the walking that’s done for me, wish I’d brought my foam roller 🤣🤣🤣. Lovely to get away, though.

Running in places new makes you more alert. New sights, sounds smells to tune in to. It gives us a boost 🙂

I had a weekend in Lille many moons ago. Went into a woundrous patisserie after having gawped through the window for ages. It was like a palace 😍.
