Well, today wasnβt about how far or how fast, but where! You know when you look at the map and think oooh why donβt I try that? So I did. The main reason is because itβs pretty undulating and I just wanted to see what it was like. It did take me into the middle of nowhere for a bit, but it was lovely to just see over the fields and really smell the countryside, some bits smelling better than others!
There was a 1.5 mile uphill bit, starting out fairly gently but getting steeper, and I was very pleased to get to the top in one piece. It took me to a place called Farley Mt, a forestry commission park nearby. Funnily Iβve only ever driven here to walk the dog, and it felt brill to actually run here.
I saw lots of cyclists, and then a group of about 9 young men running in the other direction as I got towards the end. They all looked so fit and healthy, and had that youthful glow that only makeup can provide past a certain age π€£. So I tucked my tummy in and gave a big smile which was reciprocated. Arenβt runners nice.
I so enjoyed todayβs run, hereβs to many more. Have a smashing day all! πππ

Ha ha yes I tend to try and improve my posture when going past other runners! When nobodyβs looking, Iβm probably all over the place π€£. Thank you.
That sounds like a lovely outing π Itβs good to be out πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Ah thanks Sparky! I really enjoyed it. I did study it on the map first, just in case π€£. Iβm not surprised getting lost was a bit hairy, especially if it was in the middle of nowhere. Itβs good to explore but if we take a wrong turn itβs really disconcerting isnβt it. πππ
If you know roughly where you are you can generally get back on track Having said that I once got into a field and was darned if I could get out of it π€·ββοΈβΊοΈ
Such an adventure going somewhere different, and there was m thinking it was only me who self consciously tucked my tummy in when other runners came the other way, A good run all round
Thank you Ian! I have to think if we all pay attention to our form going past other runners, they must do the same? It makes me feel better to think so anyway π€£. Although Iβve had some runs where the wheels have fallen off towards the end and I just didnβt care π.
