An Abba Run

I just got a new phone, and one of the add-ons was a free subscription to Apple Music (other providers exist 😆). So ABBA’s greatest hits it was. I used to ADORE Abba, and it was so nice listening to something I hadn’t heard in so long.

Anyhoo, what a lovely run it was. My first torchless early run since last year, and the moon, just going down, was spectacular. It was sort of orange and gold - I wonder if there’s still some sand in the atmosphere from yesterday that blew in from North Africa. The sky was a very odd colour yesterday!

I almost sprinted the last bit and it’s the first time in an age I was really out of puff at the end! But it was worth it, as I got my mile and 1k PB. I think it’s down to it being light now, as I got a mile PB on my last run too. Ah, ain’t running good 😃. Have a smashing day all! 😊😊😊

I never liked ABBA back in the day as I was more if a rock type but I like them much more now. I like Gimme Gimme cos it reminds me of the funny Kathy Burke show of the same name😁

I’m off out to run now. I got drowned walking the dog yesters but today looks great prospect. Yay! 🙂🏃‍♀️

I was always embarrassed to admit that I was a mega Abba fan back in the day, and used to know every lyric to every song, and what order they were on the LPs! Highlight of my life was seeing them live at Wembley in 1979. 🥰 Just to add, I’m no longer embarrassed to admit it! 😅

Me too! Had all the albums, and listening to them this morning reminded me of being really young and just a simpler life 😊. I never got to see them though, I bet it was a fantastic experience. The weather really does help doesn’t it ☀️☀️☀️.

I like Abba too Frenc, but that is where it stops in the sense that I don’t musical favourites and I run in monastic silence 🙂. The weather has brightened up here too, although the wind chill is still a factor. Glad you had a great run👏👏👏

Gorgeous sunny day here too, I ran yesterday but sorting the garden and greenshed out all day too.

Freezer moving today ! Two cupboards, one monks' bench and fridge first though

Does that count as great workout for strngth and maybe stamina?

ABBA stuff has a terrific beat for running pace, I find. Chiquitita, is my go to warm up fopr the beginning of runs, and the, keep me going, on a longer run ; and Waterloo, can get me up even the steepest hill!

That sounds like the perfect workout OF. I really need to sort my strength training out, it’s been far too sporadic of late. Ah freezers, you reminded me mine could do with a defrost, but I imagine yours is a big freestanding thing! Good luck with all the rejigging. Think my favourite Abba song is The Winner Takes it All even though it is quite sad. 😊😊😊
