With an unexpected day off work, well, what do you do?! Go for a run, that’s what!

Perfecto conditions meant it was lovely and fresh, chilly, and bright - I was glad of my peaked cap. I was afraid it might be a bit icy in places but no, there was no slippedy sliding which is always good and obviously much less dangerous 🤣. I think this is the fastest I’ve done this route today, so am very pleased with that.

Although it’s sunny, my OH bought me a VERY bright running top for Christmas which I’m getting a lot of use out of. I notice other runners wearing dark colours blend into the road/hedges etc, even in brighter weather and if I can’t really see them, cars won’t either. So I may see if they do them in other colours. It’s pretty much neon yellow, but I quite fancy a pink one.

Oldfloss encouraged me to stop and take photos when I was going through a bit of a meh running patch a while back, so that is what I did. Thanks OF!

Oh, yes! Definitely worth stopping for photos, especially when it is as glorious as it is today (at least for some of us). I just love morning sunshine in winter. Your views are fantastic. ‘Top of the world’ both in prospect and in that all-day wonderful feeling!

Oh how lovely that looks. You were right to take a moment to appreciate it. I was stuck indoors without windows all day, but at least the clear sky meant it wasn't quite so dark when I did finally get out there!

Nice scenery and yes, fluo is the way to go! I curse those cyclists and pedestrians in dark clothes without any lights when I drive in the dark...
