HU Virtual 10k Report

I've been having some minor trouble with my left achilles tendon, so I was a tad apprehensive about heading out for today's virtual HU 10k. My family were spending the weekend in the Scottish Borders, which is a particularly favourite location of mine for running (if the worst of the hills can be avoided!). The conditions were close to perfect, dry and calm, with lots of autumnal sunshine. Stunning views and a Hi-NRG playlist can carry me far, though keeping an eye/ear out for farm vehicles and speedy country drivers is a must here (thankfully my Aftershokz make this a breeze). In the end the achilles held up well, not giving me any issues at all. Though an ever tightening hamstring on the return section was frustrating. A good stretch/ice has mostly sorted that out, though it is a reminder to not skip my strengthening/conditioning sessions. Next up is the HU virtual half; which I'm hoping I'll be able to do closer to home by next weekend. I've really enjoyed reading the run reports from others, it really keeps me motivated to hear everyone's stories.
