Hello you fabulous runners!

Well, October was awash with your events. There were so many miles covered and much shiny bling on show and we loved reading all the brilliant run reports too 🙂 All in all, a busy month for running!

But, November is here already and we would love to know if you have any races this month. I know we have a few to kick us off. The amazing TailChaser is running her second of five 10K races in The Winter Series. We just need the date TC so we can prepare our pom poms. And the fabulous Blackberrypie has the Gosport Half Marathon on 21 November!

We also have a posse of you running the virtual HUHM or HU10K on the 14 November or the week following …. Check out linda9389 ’s recent post about this:

Good timing, it’s freezing out there today. I’ve got two pairs, both Ron Hills but one pair are really cosy and have reflective bits around the lower parts of the legs. I’d love another pair of those.

It will probably be Ghost 14s which I’m just waiting on delivery. The backs have gone in my 13s. I’m contemplating my Hyperions as they are lovely and speedy but I may be too tempted to overcook it too early in those. The route is the opposite to last time so it’s a long, slow climb for the second half. Decisions, decisions…🤔

I weighed my run shoes the other day - as you do ☺️ The triumphs were the heaviest, which came as no surprise

I thought a heavier shoe would be grippier. Just shows what I know 😃

I’m running a marathon 🏃‍♀️

It’s my 5th marathon on Sunday, 21st November. My 64th birthday will have been a few days before 🎂. I aim to run a marathon on or around each birthday

Plans a bit mucked up with injury and now having to self isolate 🙄

In better news my new marathon shoes landed a few minutes ago 🤗

I just had it in my mind that the marathon needed to be nailed. An itch needing to be scratched. Once done I had to see if I could do it again but quicker, and so on. This might be the year when I don’t ☹️ Still, it won’t be for the lack of trying 🙂🏃‍♀️

I’m having some downtime though as I’ve got hip pain 😤. I did some yoga yesterday but it made it worse.

I'm doing the Tatton 10k on Saturday 6th. It was my first ever 10k back on 3rd November 2018. I've run at Tatton many times since, it's so well organised and if you're lucky you get to see deer on the run! 🦌

My first race post marathon and just doing long slow runs for a very long time, so I'll see how I get on. Doing another one there 5 weeks after, to try and help keep the motivation up.
