Moving House... VERY different running!

So I'm moving on 3rd January. The place I'm moving to...

Is 3 miles from the nearest Parkrun and 6700 miles from the second nearest. So no Parkrun Tourism for me any more.

Has two Half Marathons a year, unless they are cancelled because of the wind.

Has a Marathon, a 100km Ultra and a 100mile Ultra, with a "most ....... marathon/ultra in the world" distinction (telling you that would give the game away).

Is at least 400 miles (but a couple of thousand miles further in practice due to no direct flights) from the next nearest Half Marathon.

Has fewer people in the largest town than there are pupils at the secondary school I'm currently working in, and if you add the rest of the people on the island you'd only be adding enough people to fill a primary school.

Any guesses?

Has your new local parkrun chalked up 77 events so far? That's quite a move if so!!!

You say this place you are going to is very remote and far from anywhere, could be the Falkland Islands, Tristan da Cunha, a remote island in the South Atlantic, ????

Yup, one of those 👍.

I think The Falklands, Tristan is the home of penguins and a few humans, so I'll go for The Falkland Islands.

Yup. I’m hoping to see penguins on my runs 🐧 and maybe whales 🐳 or seals 🦭 if I run on the coast.

It’s the world’s most southerly parkrun, marathon etc. My sister is already planning to visit just to collect the parkrun.

I wish you the very best for your future, living, running and teaching in The Falklands. 👍
