The last 3k was tough going, had a few Paula Radcliffe moments along the way π€£ fuelled by Percy π·, coconut water with a pinch of sea salt (used too much salt during first HM which acts as an enema - lesson learnt π)
Well happy, ran another half marathon 12/9/21 especially as since first one on 11/8/21 had COVID, so very grateful able to continue with and finish the NRC half marathon plan in 14 weeks . I highly recommend this plan, I started jogging on the C25K in January 21, at the end of it managed around 3k in 30 minutes. I continue to be a slow happy runner ππ½ββοΈ.
Celebrated with a restaurant lunch for one followed by a bath with Epsom salts ππΎ
Next for me is the 5k Race for Life on 2/10/21 which is on grass, my usual surface is the road so expect will be different and a challenge!

Definitely! First time around I put in around a teaspoon of sea salt in 600ml of coconut water, the next refill I put in around 1.5 teaspoons- felt my tummy bubbling and knew was going to be in trouble. Now literally put in a small pinch, 2-3 crystals ππΎ
Congratulations NanaPlum on running your first Half Marathon, I just hope you did 'you know what' out of sight of anyone around, unfortunately, Paula Radcliffe had quite a few photographers taking photos.
Well done on both your HMβs - a great achievement, especially considering you were poorly in between! I bet youβre looking forward to that 5K now!π
It is a very long time nowster, for me Itβs certainly a test of endurance, Iβm not built for speedy ππ½ββοΈ and practice slow jogging, My mindset knows what itβs taking on from the starting line with an attitude of βyou can do thisβ and βcome on girl β ( passers by smile when they hear me π or look a little startled π€£)
