Woopee just ran myself a fantastic HM 55th Birthday Run πππ
This is my second and it felt a lot easier than the first,... Took it quite slow at 8min K on average.. but meant I could really enjoy the run without it being hard.. πͺπββοΈ
Home and running a bath now looking forward to my day full of best wishes, cards and presents.. and only over a week till our big family holiday..life is good π
4years ago today I was coming round after a 14hour operation for my tounge cancer.. not the best Birthday..π

Thatβs brilliant - 2 HMs under your belt π. Does that mean itβs my turn again soon? π₯΅. Reckon it does π€£.
Ah I hope you feel nice and relaxed after your bath and that you really enjoy your birthday π celebrations. You really are in a good place - and you have your hol to look forward to as well. Iβm sure you feel very different to 4 years ago.
Enjoy the rest of your day! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Thank Frenc, was a great run, felt it easier (although still tough at times) than my first... So hopefully when you do your second you'll find it the same βΊοΈYes feeling great just had lunch and going to get a little walk soon.. loosen up π
Although I've had a wee boogie in the kitchen to the tunes on the radioππ
And another plus..used up over 1000 calarolies so extra cake ππππ
Very happy 55th birthday wishes to you Caroline and what a wonderful run that was for you today, unlike last Wednesday morning when we both ran 10 miles in about the same time I ran a 8K in 58.25, If you had asked me to run that HM virtually with you I would not have got further than 10 miles, sometime in September I will run another 10 miles run, this time at around 8 minute a kilometer and see if I can get further, enjoy the rest of the day, ha, don't over do it with birthday π. π
You will needs loads of cake to make up for all of the calories you have lost in that brilliant run sparky. Double congratulations! You can answer a probably daft Garmin question for me π. Mine is set to record in KMs; the only thing I understand in terms of watching my pace. Does the Half Marathon setting in the distance pre sets flip you over into miles or does it still record in KMs? It looks like the latter but I didnβt want to risk it on a long run π€·ββοΈβ¦I might never be seen again!
Brilliant, thank you. I suppose I ought to make the effort to become bilingual; metric marathons apart, it all seems to be miles from 10 miles upwards. All the seasoned runners I meet talk in miles too. Showing my C25k background!
The biggest difference I noticed was my cool down walk..calfs weren't too bad and my walk this afternoon was much easier..π€£I can actually get upstairs without wincing π
Congratulations Caroline. You are a day younger than me as I was 55 on Tuesday and you ran your half marathon 1 min quicker than I ran mine 2 weeks ago.
Haaa how Brilliant πHappy belated Birthday wishes to you ππ
And congratulations on your HM.. it's so amazing to be running these distances π πββοΈπͺπ
Just looking at your stats and all very close to mine apart from your calorie use count, my Garmin said 1190.. yours 1483.. wonder why the big difference π
Thanks sparky66 . I didn't even know it was my runniversary!! π Yeah I started C25K in April but took me longer to finish. Thanks for letting me know ππ
