'It is an affordable, non-judgmental sport which offers not only numerous health and mental benefits but also some cool bling, interesting stories, and like-minded friendships.'

This tongue-in-cheek article made me smile. There's lots more in it that I'm sure I'm not the only one who will identify with !!!

When you put it like that…… who on earth would take up running? 😂

I can't believe the "use a sock" comment!! No chance, loads of stuff before I'd resort to that. Soft anyway using a portaloo... wild loo is better! 🤣

Moss, leaves, grass, my emergency 3 wet wipes, tissues. In fact I'd probably use my hands before my socks 🤣🤣🤣 they wash easier!

😁 I’ve been there one one dysenteric occasion 🙈. Twice in one run though ☺️. The second time was worse as I was in sodding brambles 🤷‍♀️. Earlier it was grass but then I noticed a goodly dock leaf in grabbing distance. That was a boon 😀

I think I’d have gone with the sock had there been no running water to hand. Maybe there wasn’t Horrors!

I’ve got my hands covered in cow shite and had to run for miles before reaching the local park, where the public bogs were closed 😱

I’d wiped the worst off on the grass but had to avoid touching my face and rubbing my eyes A kind young mum gave me some baby wipes 🧻

When I was "inconvenienced" a few days ago, I used grass.

Great article, made me smile and grimace at the same time! 😬 I hope I don't make those mistakes when I run my first HM in the Autumn!

Put some bog roll in your pocket! Or kitchen roll as it’s a bit more robust 😁
