So after some thought and chatting with hubby I'm going to do the SDW from Winchester to Eastbourne, I may then do it again in reverse before going for the back to back to see which direction I prefer.
I'll do it over 3 stages,
Winchester to Cocking A286 carpark
Manor Farm, Cocking to Ditchling Beacon carpark
Ditching to Eastbourne and round back up to to the end of the loop below Alfriston
Each stage is about 35 miles
Once the 3 stages are done individually and successfully I'll then look to do it on back to back days which may be several months off from now as I'll need to take at least one day off work, maybe 2 to allow for recovery too.
If anyone is interested in running with me for parts of it let me know and I'll keep you updated with dates. Apart from being dropped off for each start and collected at the end they'll be self supported so you should bring enough food and water, although there are some water refill points along the way. You don't have to do a whole stage, if you want to meet along a stage and do a bit and go back that's fine too, just breaks it up for me and gives me things to look forward to as well as meeting vrbs.

*Gulp* that sounds a long way Jo! But of course you’ll manage absolutely fine. I’m sure it’ll be wondrous with fab scenery. Good luck and I look forward to the reports and photos 🙂
Yay!!!! We have someone willing to join the crazy one!!! 👍🏻🤪 fantastic, I'll put you under stage 2. Even if it's just a visit that part is well into an 8 hr trot for me so will be lovely to have a smiling face along the way 👍🏻😁
That's the way to go, well done, do it! I've had my 75k run plans seriously compromised by life as I can't find time to train for it properly but I'm also cooking a similar plan to yours. At the moment it's all wild in the head but having read your post the spark has ignited again. 👍
Sounds like a great big adventure Jo! I would run some of it with you but I fear I am a bit far from you 😊 Can’t wait to hear how you get on with it!! Best of luck!
Oooh my.. 😀An insight into the life of an ultramarathon runner 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
This must take huge amount of preparation... Organisation long term planning.. hope all goes well in the months leading up to your massive adventure GoGo_joJo 💥
Look forward to keeping up with your progress 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Wishing you every success with your training 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
🤣 🙈 preparation? Naw I'll just throw some snacks and water together and nail down some dates. The first time round will be pretty easy going, with probably a fortnight in between each leg. I will have to do some long training runs back to back before the 3 day back to back though I reckon 🤔
I wish the weather would stabilise. Need to get on with the first one. Paul is on night shift now though for 2 weeks which messes with the next 2 weekends 🙈
