I signed up for Edinburgh virtual 5K as a stepping stone on my way to my HM, but it was AWFUL
I ended up jeffing it - couldn't breathe properly, legs felt heavy, I have never taken so long to do a 5K
I've been running 30 mins or 40 mins comfortably I figured that I would go for the 5K (a few more minutes) even if I had to walk the end, I never figured I would end up walking half of it!
On the plus side, my arches were fine

Sorry that sounds really difficult. Do you know why you found it so hard? Did you set off too fast? When I have dificult runs I console myself that these are the runs that make me learn the most. You could easily have stopped and given up at many points but you didn't, you pushed yourself and achieved a 5km run. It shows a lot of strenght.
I'm laughing about it now, but it was really awful, lol. I think it was allergies - it's the first really warm day we've had for a couple of weeks, I think the pollen count was through the roof. I was running indoors, but obviously air comes in around the garage door. I'll just have a nice shot of ventoline before my next run
But, I've had bad runs before, I did 5K, and I'm treating it as a learning experience
Positives is that my knee was fine and my arches too, so it's all kms under the belt.
Yes it was suddenly warm and I also suffer with pollen and the lot and you did get a PB or should that be a WPB? Your knee and arches being good is a major positive too. Now get yourself some nice running underwear to celebrate
The have the same bras here in France that you showed on the other thread, so I'm going to give one of those a try and if it's good I'll get a couple more
Running knickers is just never going to happen for me
Some runs turn out that way for no apparent reason. Although a few days ago it was really sticky early in the morning and so this might have played a part.
