Having completed the HU spring challenges last week I thought long and hard about running 16.1 k this morningπ€I would normally go back to running 10k on a Friday but I felt that I wanted to improve my stamina at this distance and so I set off on a drizzly morning with my route plan worked out following very closely to last weeks HUHM, the difference being the temperature, at 14k last week it was tough going and I was feeling very tired and had to pause to take a lot of fluids on board.
Today I ran through 14k and although feeling a little tired continued along the canal leaving it at just after 15k and heading for the final 1.1! I eagerly checked the times for each k from last week to this up to 14k... I was 2seconds faster π€£π€£ clearly work to be done!
It was a good run in the weather I like, adding the distance on to both challenges, Iβll run it again next week and see if my stamina improves - note to self stop blaming warm weatherπ
Happy running this weekend everyoneππ»ββοΈ

Wooo! Iβm impressed with all these long runs of yours Over62! And yes, 2 seconds is 2 seconds. A definite improvement! Youβre on a roll. ππππ₯π₯
I've only run 10 miles once and the last k wasn't fun as I remember! You had a better run than last week and that's an achievement πand I'd take the 2 second improvement as well!π I'm going for a little walk in Kazakhstan this evening, give me a wave π before you speed off ahead on the next 10 mile step πββοΈπ¨ππ
A long run when all comes together well is a wonderful thing. Always better when the weatherβs kind but we take the rough with the smooth. Itβll be better soon ππ
