I set off later this morning, just as the rain stopped and the sun was starting to make an appearance, which worked out really well for me as I needed to have breakfast before I go out for anything past 18k.
So with supplies of water, tailwind and jelly babies I set off, the 1 st 14k was the same run as 18k last Friday and I was really pleased with the Km splits in fact I achieved PR ‘s again for 15k and 10miles on top of the ones for last Friday I was thrilled.
At 15 k I added in an extra .5k that was ok, but the 17and 18k rising up through 5 locks on the canal I really had to dig deep and take it slower as well as put some extra distance in to ensure I completed the planned 19.5 k. A good time for me the last k came in at 7.37 with the overall pace 7.29 - I’ll take that willingly!
The other good news was receiving the 700mile postcard for LEJOG04 and on COGH I was alongside the lake and yet another lorry 🚛-amazing!
Happy running everyone 🏃🏻♀️

Fantastic!!! When I ran 18k last weekend I did it without breakfast and was fine with just an energy bar before leaving and a couple of chews en route. I've never done that before. It makes getting out the door so much quicker when you don't have to wait for porridge to digest! still not sure what to do before the HM on Sunday, although the clock change may make the decision for me!!!
You’re on a roll Over62. What a fantastic run! 👊👏😀
I don’t tend to eat breakfast first as I run before I’m hungry as a rule, but I might nibble something for sustenance on Sunday as I have a feeling I’m going to be struggling in the wind yet again. 😩😩😩😩 Never mind, we’re all in this together and that’ll spur us all on. 🥰
