Today marked the first steps in building up distance again. A modest slow 6k following 3x5ks of increasing pace. Calf and ankle were well behaved, so here's hoping!

I have a confession to make. I have found a new love who goes by the name of Lotus. The name itself is brimful of eastern promise and the experience is even more exotic. Lotus Biscoff Flapjack. After years of post run triple chocolate brownie my head has been turned by the aroma of cinnamon, oats and honey topped with white and brown chocolate. It is amazing! Only served in double helpings, I have wisely drawn Mrs.BC into Lotus's dizzying spell.

This may only be a temporary flirtation; Brownie and I go back years......we'll see. Delicious while it lasts. My run times this week? Who cares😋

Such good news that your 6k was pain free. Tiny baby snail steps will build you back up and you’ll be firing on all cylinders before long - just no silly business! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

6:54 pace today cheeky. My breathing was really easy, so my fitness is starting to came back; hopefully my average heart rate will start to come down soon. I haven't posted a decent monthly total since November, so it is going to take time. Looking forward to reading the posts from the long runs. Hope the weather is kind; we have a freezing wind up here.

Thanks Dexy. These are definitely "café made" rather than bought in; I guess ingredients will vary. The calorie content is probably through the roof but, like heart rate, there are some things you have to ignore for the greater good!

Harsh!🙂 For the record Thursday's 5k was down to 33:07; it is getting there. Today was a slow 6k at 6:54k/m. Maybe a trip to the scales will curb these excesses. This stuff is addictive!

Never mind the running BC, let’s talk about the flapjacks! I love, love Biscoff biscuits and never knew they did flapjacks as well! How could I not have known about this? 🤔 ..... oh I know.... I’m rarely in a supermarket as my husband does all the shopping 🥰
