Hi all , I managed 14k yesterday along country roads from my house but ended up on a 50mph main road to try and get back and had to walk on the verge as too dangerous , I know not a good move, but still I managed my longest run yet , training for Reading half in November, hips and ankles hurt a bit this morning but pretty amazed I did it , me who a year ago was smoking about 8 a day and couldnโt run for more than about a minute!!

Well done Tracytrace. ๐๐๐ Shame about the route ruining your run. It must have been pretty scary walking on the verge, but at least youโll know for next time. ๐
Youโre right on track for your HM in November! ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ

That's a fabulous run! You're so close to ten miles now, another major milestone to be celebrated on the way to your HM. I ended up on a lane with no verge at the weekend - scary (esp the drivers who didn't read thir highway code or have simply forgotten that pedestrians are allowed; some of whom only have time to sling a glare and a rude gesture rather than pull over a bit). Makes me scared and angry in equal measure!!!

Well Done on your 14k - only 2.1 more before you get your 10 mile badge. And well done for quitting smoking too๐โโ๏ธ
