Went out for a slightly shorter run this morning and despite feeling tired I pushed a KM hard, a bit like I did in the speed challenge, just to see what I could do. Surprisingly enough I got a PR on KM, Mile and 1/2 mile. I then tried to find out how much I had broken the KM one by. Despite being a strava subscriber it seems there is no easy way.
After digging around on the interweb thingy I found this site benwebb.net/ which compiles your stats and you can sort, filter etc. At first glance it looks quite good.
Anyway the surprising upshot is the PR I beat on KMs has stood since January 2020! I even beat the time I did on the Speed Challenge from a few months ago by nearly 40 seconds!
Useful site!

As well as Strava, I used to use Endomomdo because it gave me some good updates and it was much easier to locate a given run on it. Pity UA pulled the plug on it🙁
Awesome run Jonno34. I think all of my best runs have been a question of “feel good” “push harder”. “result “ You did this from a position of feeling tired so extra 👏👏👏👏 to you!!
I've never bettered my one and only attempt at the 1k Speed Challenge! However, I came within 8 seconds of it the other day, pleasingly over the final 1k of what turned out to be my PB 10k by some margin. I *was* pushing it though!
I think the difference is or was there was no overall pressure. On the challenge there is a bit of pressure within the normal 5k run and a tendency to overthink. On this case first thought was when I hit the beginning of the 2nd k (same as my challenge benchmark) and I just went for it.
