Gosh, it's the third week already - it's flying by!
We're currently almost 15% of the way round the moon! I was not much help with my pathetic contribution of 14.3 km *sigh*. I know some people did rather better though! *ahem* GoGo_JoJo , you intrepid solo-marathoner, you!!! π
There aren't much data for the Speed Challenge yet, but I can say that Mr. Tbae is currently crushing it!!! ππ₯
π₯ Please give me your TOTAL DISTANCE data from last week (Monday-Sunday) and/or your AVERAGE SPEED IN MIN/KM as it comes; in the comments below! π₯
If I add in my work, even taking a mile off each day for Samsung's generosity and rounding down each day and in the conversion, that would be another 35km but its fits and starts... so up to you, either 53.4 or 88.4! π€£
Thank you BB - yes! It was a freak lurgy that had me dozing on the sofa all of Saturday, and only heading out towards the end of Sunday for a very cautious windsurf. Seems all better today! π€π xxxxx
Awesome work! I'm not sure if we'll make it, all we can do is try πππ
I hit my 30km target.. Proud of myself as well... I was on 25km... And my legs hadn't fully recovered from the 10 miles I did... Have I mentioned that? That I did 10 miles? π
Anyway π I was going to the supermarket to get some wine, I parked up in the car park, and then I just thought.. "No, you're getting to 30km this week!" And I went for a 5km run In the park next to the supermarket.... Then I got some wine! π·
30km is the minimum now, if I get higher...that's a bonus, but I'm happy at the moment. Don't think the legs aren't used to it yet, need a couple of weeks of 30km.
Hi Roseabi, Yes Iβll give to metric data in future. My running distance so far this month is 33K. My average speed for each kilometre I ran was 7.45 min/km last week and 7.19 min/km this week. So I have got a little bit faster. Iβm also running further each week. Iβm seeing my average speed per km increasing each week this month.
Thanks! π And well done for increasing your speed, that's amazing!!!
So: these are two different challenges,
Distance Challenge - includes the total of all running, walking, running, and swimming kilometres. I am collecting data from people on a week-by-week basis, so I am currently taking last week's data, Monday-Sunday. If you have a look at the spreadsheet linked from the post you will see how it is organised.
Speed Challenge - pick a route of a particular distance, or time. For example 1 km, or 15 minutes. Run that route or distance each week (or less if you can't manage it every week) and record your pace. Try to beat your time!
I guess so. Having a bad day. I should sign out of HU until I perk up a bit. Have a lot of new pain which feels like plantar issues. Can't really stretch it out with heel raises at the moment, but am rolling a ball for England. Urrgghh. Just fast forward to January please π
Stay with us...super cyclist lady...maybe..and I am loathe to say this...and ducking down as I type...has the increased cycling aggravated things....eek!
I can imagine it's really frustrating, Linda π... but when you do get back out there, you'll be as fit as a fiddle after all that cycling. π΄ββοΈ
I'm sorry, I wish I was a professional so I could put your mind at ease... but that seems like a long time to be out injured, Linda. I'm sure you'll be back out there this year! I really hope so anyway!
That's amazing again Linda...all that cardio work and leg work! π You now have a new cross-training skill when you get running again...
We understand the ic is a lonely place so please keep joining in with all the chat on the forums. I love seeing your cycling adventures on Strava too. Big hug and chin up. xxx
A cutback week and poor weather, so a total of 70km, 47km running and 23km walking. Less than planned but at least I managed a 15mile long run as per my plan.
5.40min/km speed. Which was over a 10k not a 5k distance and still a speed improvement and I'm so excited how super speedy I was and I can't really believe it and want to shout to everyone πππ
I hope your improved.β€οΈThought things went quiet.π€
Forgot walking counts.π
I would like to give a little contribution to round the moon.
I do not record this a lot because I will not wear my watch in the garden.( Activity circles set 30 mins very low). But it gets done.
Nor do I bother with my short warm up walks and runs much, or also my get me out of here walks and my barrow walks. On my feet each day 6 hours minimum.
Must be 4k daily at anyoneβs pace.π€£ So 56k for wk 1&2.
Hi Roseabi, just a rather pathetic 8.53 km last week for me due to other commitmentsπ This week will be much better - I know, as Iβve already topped that today!ππ
A bit less than last week but as someone somewhere once said, "every little counts"!
Run: 18k + walk: 18k = 36k
I don't know if I will do any more running this week as I seem to have hurt my hip now π¬ but I will keep logging the dog walks! πΎπΎ
Oops - forgot the speed challenge! I didn't do the same route as didn't fancy the gale force winds on the seafront, so my speed was lower this week - 6.38 per km.
