The garmin 45 and 245 are good new models. The 245 is a bit more chunky. The 45 has a smaller version of it - 45s. Definitely go Garmin. You deserve it after your marathon! I have the 645 music from Argos £199. I love it. Can transfer music on to it.

It's hard to get the right one

Too much choice Paul. I’m sure others will answer the post tomorrow too. I just think Garmins are running watches whereas Fitbit are more general Health. Don’t get the 45s unless you want a slimmer version.

Going to do abit more reading on this 645

You can download routes on it so it’s good for trails. You can follow a little breadcrumb trail map. Once you get the hang of the buttons on a garmin, they’re great.

I looked at long battery life for the least money 🙂. Much reduced list of possibilities 😃

I have the Garmin forerunner 235 and I love it, altho it probably does a lot more than I actually use. Have fun

Snap Deals! I have the same watch and only use a few features. The FR 235 is a great watch though Paul, and now that’s been replaced by the 245 you could probably get a good price. 😀

Well I tried it once! 😂 Not tried again. I should really looking into heart rate more as never seems right. But most of the time I end up just pressing and going! 😂

I have had 5 fitbit replaced under warranty, binned them and have now gone garmin vivoactive. Does everything I want. The display is not as good as Ionic but am told the Garmin venu is as good. It is reliable, I don't have any sync issues with it , it has a better charger connector and it has been trouble free. Go garmin.

Lots of Garmin offers out there right now.

Another thing is, if you want a touch screen or not. Most are buttons and not touch screen. But some are touch screen like the vivoactive 4. That has music too. Personally I find touch screens hard to use in the rain.

Hello Paul. I would say the garmin 45 or 35. I've had my garmin 35 for Well over a year now and I love it. Its simple easy to set up and use and you have garmin connect , the app on your phone. 😊👍

Love my garmin 35, I don’t run with music, podcasts etc so don’t need those features on the more expensive watches. I love my 35 and see no reason to spend more. Loads of stats, syncs to strava, very accurate if I wait for signal before starting run and recharges very quickly. Happy running 🤗
