I have a small group trail run in a couple of weeks. They have confirmed that it can still go ahead. Maybe the individual groups will all be 6 or below, even though several groups will be involved.
i did a race on Sunday, and we will be getting the medal in the post, but this was a decision made by the race organisers to minimise contact in the finish area I would have loved to get it at the end of the race, but at least they are trying to organise these events and it will be a great surprise when I find it in my mailbox
That's true! Ours were being left in a bag to self collect as we pass through. I'm assuming the bag and buff and snack will still work that way - else postage costs will be even higher for them.
What a shame Linda. Bling is important to us runners at the best of times, even more so now. I was lucky to get a real medal at the Severn Bridge 10k a couple of weeks ago, and it spurred me on no end. That was it though as theyβd done away with goodie bags. Didnβt matter - bling was king! π
At least your race isnβt cancelled - youβll need to keep your eyes out for the postie instead! π
I knoooooowwww .... but without the medal ... that's the best bit, I've been daydreaming about it banging against my belly as we wander round Kew for the day ... π€. Sigh! Ahh well. I'm sure we'll still have a lovely day π
Oh Linda, I thought you were going to say the run has been cancelled! Go out, enjoy that run, and then enjoy being at Kew with your family. It is such a lovely place.
The bling is deferred gratification. Post a pic of it when it arrives and we can all ogle it with envy.
Ahh, thanks BB. Tomorrow I don't feel so much need to run for you (as you're back on the trail), so instead I will have to imagine running so's not to keep you waiting too long at the finish!!! Facebook feedback from today's run (it has been split over two days) is all very positive. It looks like there were almost 2000 runners today, so not too big, and the sun is going to shine for our post-race wander around Kew!
I've just run a full marathon for Bone Cancer Research Trust and wanted to wear my race t-shirt, to help promote awareness, but it didn't arrive in time π’
Hope you had a good race though! And I hope you're well xxxx
Ahh, no what a shame! Hope your run went well - it's so awesome that you're running marathons!!! I've had an amazing day thanks - it was great to be back in the race atmosphere again, albeit a somewhat altered race atmosphere π
linda9389 I can't believe I'm running marathons either!!! "I ran a marathon this weekend" just seems to roll off the tongue!π Really glad you enjoyed your day! Here's looking forward to a bit of normality xxx
