Enjoying My Running

Yesterday afternoon I ran 7 miles to take my monthly miles tally to over 100. Even though it was 30° I ran at a comfy slow pace and I actually felt great. During the run I was thinking how relatively inexperienced I am but even in that time have gained so much knowledge from others and benefited from their experience on these forums. I love running and average 3 runs a week, sometimes 4 but mostly 3, week in and week out. I feel strong and with hydration and stretching/strength exercises feel the best I have felt since I began in November 2019. It has become a real part of my life and I'm so thankful for it, for the company on here and for being able to go out of the door. I don't lack motivation or drive to go because while I can, I really must!

Lovely post!🙂👍 I take my hat off to you for being able to run in 30 degrees heat GTFC - rather you than me! Well done on your 7 miler and the amazing amount you have achieved with your running - very inspiring! You are also a great support to others here on the forum, so keep running, keep posting and enjoy your rest day!🙂

Wow GTFC, a hundred miles in July, congratulations that's 161 km for the likening of me who runs in K's, not miles, well done also in running 7 miles in that 30C heat, the hottest day of the year.

Now down to earth for me, this morning I ran my 7th (not) parkrun in a equal PB time of 33.12, I enjoyed my run in a temperature of 16C, enjoy the rest of the day.

Thank you my friend. It was hot but felt comfy going at a steady 10.20 average pace. I go in miles as km confuses me a bit 🙈 well done on this morning's run! A super achievement 🏆

My sentiments exactly GTFC! I’m not sure what I did before running ....... I know, I spent way too much money on all things horse. 🐎 Running has taken over, but in a wonderful way. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

You’ve come so far and continue to smash your runs. Seriously, enjoying running in 30 degree heat? Kudos!! 😅👊 Isn’t is great what running can do? 👏👏

It really is and for those that don't get it, it seems strange. I love the cold and rain but like Buddy34 am getting used to it a little more. Thank you 😊

Fabulous achievement in such a short space of time. Like you, I rarely have to put any effort into getting myself out the door - it is a wonderful thing indeed 😍

You should be awarded a special prize for even going outside yesterday 🥵 Every time I opened the front door, it felt like walking into a sauna!

That’s a fabulous achievement, well done to you. And enjoying it is what it’s all about at the end of the day isn’t it?

Keep running amok 🏃🙂
