Second run following injury and it was brilliant! :-D

Went out on my second run after been given the go ahead to run again by the physio! Was lovely weather and I was just so glad to get outside and run off some stress! I did C25K W5R1 (three 5 min runs) and my knee felt fine! Boy have I lost some fitness though, was really puffing at the end of the last 5 minute set! But am determined to get back to where I was before my injury!

I also treated this as a solidarity run too being as it was meant to be the London Marathon today, so I wanted to run in solidarity for all the runners who were expecting to run it (and those whose other races were also cancelled/postponed) and also for the key workers all over the world working during this terrible crisis.

I was aware of the '26 challenge' thing as well so I thought I would try and run 2.6 km but I stopped my watch at the end of my run and it said that I had run 2.59 km! So annoying that I was so close! Well, I ran definitely ran 26 meters so I think I will just take that instead! :-)

Bear in mind it's much warmer than when you were running before the injury, that makes a difference to how a run feels and may have contributed to the feeling of lost fitness. You haven't been out for too long, you'll soon be back up to scratch. Brilliant to have another successful run completed πŸ‘

ahhhh that is very true and I did go and run in the middle of the day so the heat would make sense! :-)

Brilliant stuff. I think Garmin can be allowed a .01 error. I award you 2.6k 😊
