We’re in very difficult times maybe you could award yourself a day or two holiday.
I’m trying to get back to C25K but my knee keeps swelling up so trying to rest it for a few days so my plans are on hold for quite a while I think. Frustrating cos I know if I could get back to jogging again my head would feel much better. 🤷♀️
Good morning Tbae, Alan here, nice that you are keeping well although as you say Mr Body is not listening to Mr Brain.
Not sure about a 32K or more trot around the garden, if nothing else that would make me dizzy with all those short turnarounds, there was a man who ran a marathon around his garden recently, good for him.
I also have a garden, I worked out that for me to run a 5k around it I would have to run 238 laps.
Yesterday I ran my 5th 'Virtual 5k parkrun' around Broadwood Loch, near to where I live, managed to run it sub 35 minutes in 33.45, the main thing is that I only saw another 3 runners, so no problem with social distancing, keep safe and well.
We can only do what we can do Tbae. But it sounds as if you’ve done amazingly well. Do you have rest days?
Yesterday I had such a lazy day and did nothing but eat and read. I rarely, if ever, do this but it’s what my body needed. This morning I’m all good to go again 🏃♀️🙂
Like you, thank heavens I have the garden. I’ve been clearing an area that was full of weeds and hard compacted soil and, while it’s hard work, it’s also satisfying to see nice clear soil ready to be sown 🙂
Stay safe and sane and while we can’t control what’s going on in the world we can control what we do each day.
The only time I have gone out of my garden in the past month is to do my three speed challenge sprints which is 300 m from my house.I do my warmup routine & walk & trot in the garden before a further walk and leg and arm swings to my standing start.
Everything else is behind the garden gates.
Certainly trotting I don’t think I would have a problem. But think it would be challenging at pace.
Stay safe Katnap and well done on your first two runs of SFSC.
Aw. Thanks Tbae! I do hope mask wearing isn't mandated. Especially if they're classed as single use! Running at any pace other than easy jog could become an extra challenge.
What we can control is what we should be focusing on. Everything else we should acknowledge but try not to dwell on. It's great to have plans, but actually it's good to be free and spontaneous when we are surrounded by so many restrictions - take each day as it comes and give it a massive tick if, by the end of the day, you've done some things you simply wanted to do and took some enjoyment from them. Hopefully that will give the black dog something to think about and show him who's boss. Take care.
Yes we just have to let some things go. I’ve not managed to get all sorts I’d normally get for the veg plots but never mind there’ll still be lots of food.
I’ve got no plant food at all yet but I’m optimistic 😃
Lots to be happy about Accentuate the positive, as the old song goes 🎶🎵
