Hot but felt great

After keeping my runs at a max time of around an hour since the lockdown began today I just needed to keep running so I did.

I was very hot and sweaty and struggled with the heat but I had my hydration pack and sipped at my water throughout. My legs felt strong even though my body felt tired so when I got to 5 miles I just kept going.

Work has been tough this past few weeks as we have now furloughed 70% of our staff and the rest of us are working hard to keep things going. I have also had to get used to being home alone during the week as my partner has been having to work all over the Country so it’s just been me and the cat. The knowledge that a further lockdown was happening really impacted me so my run was needed.

I got back to the house after just over 9 miles of running in just under 2 hours and it felt amazing to be exhausted for all of the right reasons :)

I hope you are all doing well, staying safe and enjoying your runs x

Sounds wonderful, just what the Dr would have ordered. Maybe you will sleep well too now, double bonus 😊

Good run and post from you, the lockdown here in the UK has now been extended for at least 3 more weeks.

Yeah that is why I went for my run, I am down in Somerset :)

Great run, especially in the heat but it sounds like you really needed.

Sorry that you’re finding lockdown so tough but at least you’re keeping safe and have your runs to look forward to.

Keep smiling, we will get through this.

Sounds like a great run and I hope the weeks to come are a bit easier on you tiggs. At least we have our running to burn off some of that pent up energy
