Preparation started!

Went out to do a final short run this morning, planning to do 3k but it turned into 4. It was such a beautiful morning, sun shining, blue sky, hedges bursting into leaf, blossom brightening the streets and birds singing, it almost felt like spring. 10C so I decided it was time to cast off the outer layer and run in just a short sleeved t-shirt. Then I started passing dog walkers in winter coats, gloves and hats. 🤔 My new shoes haven’t arrived yet (apparently they’re coming from China if they ever arrive) so I decided I couldn’t possibly turn up for my HM with muddy shoes. Nikwax gel and they are almost as good as new. One less thing to faff about 😃

Oh I’m jealous of your springlike run Sandie. It sounded scrummy. I think spring is the most wonderful season, and us runners get the best of it I’m sure. It’s lovely here today too, but it isn’t a run day for me.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had this weather on Sunday too? 🤞

It was lovely - really lifts the spirits after so much rain! BBC is forecasting 10C, 14mph wind and 15% chance of light rain for Sunday morning in London 🤞🏻 For at least a dry day

I set the trend with my T Shirt run on Monday 😉. You are all set now! A Pb would not be a shock, assuming your foot behaves (which I am sure it will!). Bit windy up here but I had another nice hill walk with Molly today; good cross training climbing hills I could never run up. She was the one out of breath!!

Beautiful post! It is glorious this weather. It fills me with great excitement for the coming spring summer weather which is just around the corner!🌞🌷🌼🌺🌻I left my hat and buff indoors this morning as it was quite warm too!

Ooh, It’s all getting very exciting Sandie, I can’t wait for your run report. And the sun is so beautifully warm today. I didn’t wear my bobble hat when I went out on Monday night, I hope it’s the same tonight.
