So I have to stop running for at least a week, and have only managed a few miles this week. I’ll be switching to cycling to maintain what fitness I can and might still be able to do my target marathon on 1st March, but right now I should really be increasing my volume.

Oh no, that's not what you wanted to hear! Was that a sports physio diagnosis? I haven't had anything like that, but I can highly recommend cycling as a way to keep up/improve fitness if it doesn't aggravate your injury. Lots of corr/cardio workouts available online with no weightbearing too. It all takes a bit more time tho! Don't give up yet! Speedy healing.
Hello, I am really sorry to hear this update. I am afraid I don't have experience to share, but am sending you healing vibes and hope you can find alternative outlets for those running legs.
Sorry to hear this Dave - definately take it easy. I have heard of this condition but not through personal experience. Fingers crossed it settles soon and you can get back out there.🤞
