Another 5k out of the way Nicosia

Starting at 11am it was a bit "mad dogs and midday sun" and must have been pushing the late 20 degrees. Well organised and flat so I thought I would run it as I feel it. Went over peak HR a bit but largely felt good and as it was flat I thought I would maybe get a 5k PB. Kept a good pace all the way, not sure I could have gone much faster without having to slow and as I said the HR was a bit naughty so I am pretending it was a big Fartlek! Good pace and crossed the finish line at..........4.87km so no 5K personal best. Not the only one a bit miffed. Pro rata I would have taken 25seconds off. :-(

Congratulations on completing that 5K in Nicosia with the temperature around 28C, yes it is a bit hot for a run, you say it was 4.87, not a full 5K, nevertheless well done, has the label with your BIB number got something to keep it from falling off when you run?

That sounds a hot one. But well done on that speedy run

If the race was measured at 5k I would suspect it's just your gps is off...claim the PB !

I was not the only one who was out on distance. Several others have flagged up the same.
