Feeling positive

After doing my longest run to date in preparation for the Yorkshire Marathon for the first time in a while I feel I have a good chance of finishing it. The only query is whether doing cross road method of doing long runs is helpful (it is for training runs) but you can't do it that way on race day. I suppose it's all time on your feet.

It's all time on your feet and if it's working for you... don't mess with it 👍🏻😉

Thank you.

Had this response from the Yorkshire Marathon organisers. This is the last paragraph of the email that they sent. Feel very reassured that I will be able to finish. They will have sweeper vehicle/s following the last runner/s so if anyone cannot /unable to continue to pick up and take them to the finish. This is how all races should treat runners.:

I hope your training continues to go well and if I can be of further assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. But as a team we are there until the last person crosses the finish line, whatever that time maybe.

Xx🙂

Good stuff 💪👍😃

I’ve got a long run this weekend. Got my power bars made so that’s me sorted If you’ve not got any check out IP’s recipe, which she’s just posted up. I always take one or two on long runs On very long runs I take a little bag of Hula Hoops. Tip as per the fabbo runner Nicky Spinks

Have a good run 😃👍
