Hi Paul, i think that would be fine, adrenaline and the support will probably get you round the last 3 miles.

My plan only takes me up to 11 miles so I’ll let you know if it works!

I think you’ll do it easily - maybe run 11 miles once this month, then 12 in September - that should set you up nicely and give you the confidence to get to 13 and a bit.

I have done a couple of half marathons this year using a program with only two 10-12 mile max runs in it and they (and the adrenaline) definitely got me round. This time though, I am building endurance by doing longer, weekly slow runs and am finding that I am becoming more used to the longer runs, albeit not at HMP yet. If you have already a good level of fitness, I don’t think you will have a problem.

Hi Paul

Don't overrun for gawd's sake. You don't have to keep running ten miles every week! Start small and work up distance wise til you get to 18km or thereabouts and then save the last three km til the day of the race You don't want to overdo things, espesh if you are going to the gym a lot.

Take care. No overdoing stuff ey x If you leave plenty of time for training there's no need to do too much running

Good luck with it

In direct answer to your question, yes. Befor my first HM I had only done 10 miles prior. Got an injury and only just built back up to 10 miles the weekend before.

Keep your long runs. My only advice would be to kae your midweek runs in the week before your HM light. It makes a real difference if you can have a bit of freshness back in your run.

If you feel like increasing then do so. But do it because you want to rather than because you feel you should.
