It's all started sometime around mid April. I started to loose my intensity and interest in running. Till mid April I was running daily and achieved 10k πŸ…. After that it was downhill, frequency decreased from 6-7 times a week to 5 than 4 than 3 than 2. And there was a time I didn't ran for 10 days straight. I started to feel guilty, sometime I tried running in evening still I was not at my best, I gained approximately 2 kg again (I lost 12-14 kg between Dec-mid April, thanks to running). I checked my running app, I ran only 9 time in month of May. It was June 7, I decided I will go back to my morning schedule, I set off for a quick run, everything was fine till last 250meter from my house on my way back, I knocked down by uneven footpath, fell down badly, hurt my knee blood came out, few cuts on hand and back, luckily there was no traffic on road also my glasses didn't break. Came back home, feeling pathetic, was walking gingerly in office, had small plaster on knee to stop blood, it was very low point in my running life of last 6 month, felt miserable. Avoided any thoughts of running for next 2-4 days as I had difficulty walking. Than I said to myself- it's enough and I set-off. I ran consecutive 5 days with 10-11 km each day than again a break of 5 days due to rains and family stuff. Ran consecutive 4 days again with 10km+ each.

And finally today I broke all my previous best and ran 17.35km (1 km extra just to make sure I'll hit 10 Miles anyway).

Best thing I didn't had any gel/water or anything else. I was in the zone and would have completed half marathon today itself (got call from wife saying enough for today πŸ˜…).

Most important thing it was my longest run in terms of distance and time both.

I am back to my best with full of energy, already crossed 110+km for month of june, target is 150km for this month.

can't wait for my first HM πŸ˜€

Well done jrunner good to see you have your mojo back. It doesn't take a lot to break the cycle, but the real sign of commitment is getting yourself back in the routine.
