I’ve not actually managed much running this week as Bella Dogger has had a bit of a rough week, and then Merlin got neutered on Thursday and couldn’t be left for long. So all I’ve done was a very gentle trot along the beach to get me used to running on sand again, that I used W1: R1 of C25K for last Monday.
Still, I was determined to get out today, so after I’d walked them both and put the ‘cone of shame’ back on his lordship, I headed over to the hill.
I ran pretty much the same route, including a 5 minute warm up walk, followed by a 5 minute jog - I think this time it was longer at the far end than last time, but not enough to make a difference.
I genuinely thought I was running slower than last time, and the only thing that kept me going was the encouragement of the dog walkers who were up there!
Couldn’t believe it when I looked at the app when I’d finished my cool down jog, walk, and stretches, to find I’d done it quicker!
